Tulip CSA & Valentine's Collection FAQ

What is the Tulip CSA?
Our Tulip CSA allows you to receive fresh, seasonal tulip bouquets directly from our flower farm for 4 consecutive weeks in late February through March. Each bouquet includes 15 stems of beautiful, locally grown tulips, carefully handpicked and hand-wrapped by our farm family. It's the perfect way to welcome spring or celebrate Valentine's Day!

What's the difference between the three options?

  • Valentine's Tulip CSA ($95): Includes a hydroponic tulip for Valentine's Day (Feb 13-14) PLUS 4 weeks of 15-stem fresh tulip bunches (60 stems total)

  • Tulip-Only CSA ($85): Just the 4 weeks of 15-stem fresh tulip bunches (60 stems total), no Valentine's hydroponic tulip

  • Hydroponic Tulip Vase ($25): One living tulip in a glass vase for Valentine's Day only (no weekly bouquets)

How does the membership work?
When you sign up for a Tulip CSA, you'll receive a bouquet every week for 4 consecutive weeks starting in late February. If you choose the Valentine's Tulip CSA, you'll also pick up your hydroponic tulip on February 13-14. You can pick up your flowers at our farm in Loomis. The tulips are selected based on what's in season, so you'll always get the freshest blooms.

Can I choose my tulip colors?
While we can't guarantee specific tulip colors due to seasonal availability, you can trust that each bouquet will feature a beautiful mix of freshly picked tulips. We curate each arrangement with the most vibrant, peak-season blooms available each week.

How often will I receive my flowers?
You will be able to pick up once a week for 4 consecutive weeks (if you choose a CSA option). If one week you are not able to pick up your flowers, it's a great opportunity to bless someone else's life with beautiful flowers! Tell a friend to pick them up instead.

When does the Tulip CSA start?
CSA pickups begin in late February, approximately 1-2 weeks after Valentine's Day. Your exact start date will be confirmed in your order confirmation email.

How do I sign up?
You can sign up for our Tulip CSA directly on our website. Just choose which option you'd like (Valentine's CSA, Tulip-Only CSA, or Hydroponic Tulip Vase). It's easy, and you'll receive your pickup details right away!

Can I gift a Tulip CSA?
Yes! A Tulip CSA makes a thoughtful and unique Valentine's or spring gift. After purchase, email us at info@labellavitofarm.com with the recipient's name and contact info, and we'll send them the pickup details when it's time.

Can I skip or cancel my membership?
If you need to skip a week, you can have a friend or family member pick up your bouquet for you – just let us know their name. There are no refunds on cancellation as tulips are planted and reserved months in advance.

What if I'm not happy with my bouquet?
We strive to provide the highest quality flowers, but if for any reason you're not satisfied with your bouquet, please contact us within 24 hours of pickup. We'll make it right with a replacement or a credit toward your next order.

Where do I pick up my tulips?
All tulip pickups are at La Bella Vito Farm, 4938 Jessie Lane, Loomis, CA. Specific pickup days and times will be confirmed in your order confirmation email.

Do you offer delivery?
Currently, we do not offer delivery. All tulips are pickup only at our Loomis farmstand to ensure maximum freshness and quality.

How is the Tulip CSA priced?
Our Tulip CSA offerings are priced as follows:

  • Valentine's Tulip CSA: $95 (hydroponic tulip + 4 weeks of fresh tulips)

  • Tulip-Only CSA: $85 (4 weeks of fresh tulips)

  • Hydroponic Tulip Vase: $25 (one living tulip for Valentine's Day)

How long do tulips last?
Fresh-cut tulips typically last 7-10 days with proper care (cut stems at an angle, fresh water, refresh every 2-3 days). Hydroponic tulips last 7-10 days as living plants with regular water changes.

Are tulips available year-round?
No! Tulips are grown once per season and only available for a short window in late winter/early spring. This limited availability makes them extra special. Once they're gone, they're gone until next year.
