A hog share allows you to purchase a portion of a farm-raised pig and stock your freezer with a variety of premium pork cuts. It's a great way to know where your food comes from while supporting local agriculture.

We charge $8.00 per pound of hanging weight, which includes raising the pig and field processing.

The only additional cost is the butcher's cut and wrap fee, which is paid directly to the processor.

The processor charges approximately $1.00–$2.00 per pound of hanging weight, depending on your cutting preferences and whether you choose options such as:

• Smoked bacon

• Smoked ham

• Specialty sausages

• Other custom processing requests

Most of our hogs finish with a hanging weight of approximately 180–220 pounds.

• Hog share: approximately $720–$880

• Cut and wrap: approximately $90–$220

Estimated total investment: approximately $810–$1,100

You'll typically receive about 65–70% of the hanging weight as packaged meat.

Estimated yields:

• Half hog: approximately 60–75 pounds of pork

• Whole hog: approximately 120–150 pounds of pork

Actual yield may vary depending on your cutting instructions.

The exact assortment depends on your processing preferences.

Yes! The butcher will contact you before processing to discuss your preferences and available options.

You'll have the opportunity to choose how you'd like your pork cut, packaged, and processed.

The butcher's processing fees are paid directly to the processor. These fees are separate from your hog share purchase.
